1. Definition and Function
The prestressed flat anchor clip for bridges is an important anchoring component in the prestressed system of bridges. In bridge structures, prestressed steel strands are tensioned to pre load the structure, enhancing the load-bearing capacity and crack resistance of the bridge. The clip is in direct contact with the steel strand, and with the help of the wedge principle, the steel strand is tightly clamped after tensioning is completed, anchoring it to the anchor plate to maintain prestress.
2. Structure and Principle
• Structure: Generally in the shape of a conical frustum, with a small upper part and a large lower part. The inner hole of the clamp is machined with a specific shape, such as threads or tapered threads, used for tight engagement with the steel strand; The outer conical surface is matched with the inner conical hole of the flat anchor plate. Some clamps have machining slots at the large end, with a depth usually ranging from 3-5mm; The small end is equipped with pin holes, which are installed inside and perpendicular to the outer wall of the clamp. The number of pins is generally 3.
Principle: During the prestressing process, the jack applies tension to the steel strand. After reaching the design tension, the clamp is wedged inward between the tapered hole in the anchor plate and the steel strand due to the retraction of the steel strand. By relying on the frictional force between the clamp and the steel strand, as well as between the clamp and the tapered hole in the anchor plate, the steel strand is anchored and the prestressing is maintained.
3. Material and performance requirements
Material: Usually made of alloy steel, it has high strength, hardness, and good toughness to ensure that it does not undergo brittle fracture and excessive deformation when subjected to enormous stress.
Performance requirements: Reliable anchoring performance is required to ensure that the steel strand does not slip or loosen; Has good anti fatigue performance and can adapt to the working environment of bridges under repeated vehicle loads and other loads; At the same time, it should have a certain degree of corrosion resistance to extend its service life.
4. Application scenarios
Mainly used in slab structure bridges, when prestressed steel strands need to be arranged in a flat shape to avoid increasing plate thickness due to cable arrangement, flat anchorages and clamps come in handy. For example, some bridge decks of urban elevated bridges, small prestressed concrete slab bridges, and other structures.
5. Key points of construction
Pre installation inspection: Check the surface quality of the clip and ensure that there are no defects such as cracks or burrs; Check the fit between the clip and the tapered hole in the anchor plate, which should be smooth and tightly fitted.
Installation process: Place the clip correctly into the tapered hole of the anchor plate, ensuring that the clip is evenly distributed and in good contact with the steel strand.
• Tensioning operation: Operate according to the designed tensioning program and process. During the tensioning process, pay attention to observing the follow-up of the clamp to prevent problems such as clamp misalignment and jamming. After tensioning is completed, check the anchoring of the clamps to ensure reliable anchoring of the steel strands.
